6/35kV Medium Voltage Power Distribution Series
This series is engineered for primary electrical grids, heavy industrial plants, and large-scale renewable energy (wind/solar) integration at 6/35kV.
Conductor, Insulation, and Screening Combinations
♦ Conductors: High-purity electrolytic copper (CU) or electrical-grade aluminum (AL).
♦ Insulation & Sheath: Formulated with 90°C high-thermal XLPE insulation as the standard dielectric layer. The external protective jacket can be selected independently between premium PVC and PE to fulfill specific waterproofing and burial depth requirements.
♦ Screening Options: Precision-formed with Copper Tape Screen (CTS), Copper Wire Screen (CWS), or dual combinations (CTS&CWS) to ensure optimal electromagnetic shielding and grounding integrity.
♦ Specific Selection: Selection depends on project ampacity, grid load, and environment. For example: continuous high-thermal operations, stable electro-static field distribution, or sub-grade moisture barriers — all achievable through material combinations.
Mechanical Protection and Optional Upgrades
Standard configurations include non-armoured and heavy armoured designs. Optional add-ons:
♦ LSZH compounds for transit tunnels or mass-populated public grids
♦ Mica-tape fire-resistant (FR) barriers for critical backup emergency circuits
♦ Longitudinal water-blocking swelling tapes to prevent water-treeing inside insulation
♦ Anti-termite / anti-rodent chemical sheaths for harsh subterranean protection
Compliance
All cables comply with IEC 60502-2. Third-party test reports available upon request.
SWA Armoured Cable
Positioned at the apex of our Medium Voltage Cable engineering sector, this SWA Armoured Cable series is built for high-stress infrastructure layouts requiring maximum longitudinal tensile capacity alongside robust physical armoring against geological displacement. A dense structural cage of round galvanized steel wires (SWA) absorbs immense pulling forces, serving as the main safety standard for vertical or moving soil profiles.
·Standards: IEC 60502-2
·Cores: 3 Cores Exclusively (Note: Ferrous steel wire is strictly forbidden on 1-Core AC lines due to severe magnetic circuit losses; there are no single-core options in this category)
·Conductors & Screening: Copper or Aluminum conductors paired with heavy-duty dual CTS&CWS screening parameters.
·Material Matrix: Designed with high-performance XLPE insulation. This series permits flexible outer sheath selection between PVC and PE components to balance grounding resistance and thermal grid loads.
·Optional Upgrade: Beyond standard PVC/PE options, our production line offers tailored flame-retardant polymers and fire-barrier upgrades for vital emergency loops and high-risk petrochemical grids to prevent continuous fire spreading.
Key Advantages
·High-Drop Tensile Backbone: The heavy, longitudinal steel wire cage locks the cable structure against massive gravitational pulling stress. This prevents inner core elongation or snapping inside steep mine shafts and deep borehole grids.
·Subsidence Mitigation: Offers an advanced mechanical cradle that defends the electric network against jagged rock backfills and shifting soil strata caused by land subsidence or heavy seismic movement.
·Low-Resistance Grounding Path: The massive continuous galvanized wire matrix functions as an ideal, low-impedance fault-current return path, massively upgrading substation system safety during high-amperage faults.
Application Guideline
·Choose SWA: Critical for deep vertical mine installations, borehole power feeds, river crossings, or extreme long-span overhead pulling tasks.
·Alternatives: If longitudinal tensile strength is unnecessary and you require a lighter, lower-cost multichannel line, check out our STA tape series. For 1-Core armoured applications, view our AWA portfolio.
