0.6/1kV Low Voltage Power Distribution Series
♦ This series is designed for secondary grids, heavy industrial plants, and commercial buildings at 0.6/1kV.
♦ Conductor and Insulation Combinations
♦ Conductors: high-purity electrolytic copper (CU) or electrical-grade aluminum (AL).
♦ Insulation and sheath materials can be selected independently. The factory supports mainstream combinations of PVC, PE, and XLPE to meet project requirements for temperature resistance, waterproofing, and mechanical protection.
♦ Specific selection depends on project ampacity, ambient temperature, and installation budget. For example: 90°C thermal rating or enhanced underground waterproofing — both achievable through material combinations.
♦ Mechanical Protection and Optional Upgrades
♦ Standard configurations include non-armoured and heavy armoured designs. Optional add-ons:
♦ - LSZH compounds for enclosed public areas
♦ - Mica-tape fire-resistant (FR) barriers for emergency circuits
♦ - Anti-termite / anti-rodent chemical sheaths for direct burial or outdoor environments
♦ Compliance
♦ All cables comply with **IEC 60502-1** . Third-party test reports available upon request.
SWA Armoured Cable
Within our heavy-duty Low Voltage Cable segment, this SWA Armoured Cable series is designed for harsh engineering environments requiring the highest level of mechanical protection. A dense layer of round galvanized steel wires (SWA) provides exceptional longitudinal tensile strength and crush resistance, making this low voltage steel wire armoured cable range the premier safety choice for mining, tunneling, municipal grids, and high-tensile installations.
♦ Standards: IEC 60502-1, BS 5467, VDE 0271
♦ Cores: 3 Cores, 4 Cores, 5 Cores (Note: SWA is not applicable to 1-Core AC lines due to eddy current heating)
♦ Conductors: Premium Oxygen-Free Copper (CU) or Electrical-Grade Aluminum (AL)
♦ Material Matrix: Insulation and sheath materials can be selected independently among PVC, PE, and XLPE to adapt to specific soil conditions and ambient stresses.
♦ Optional Upgrade: Beyond standard PVC/PE options, our production line offers tailored flame-retardant polymers and halogen-free compound upgrades. This modification is highly recommended for transit tunnels and heavy industrial containment zones to prevent toxic gas release during critical thermal emergencies.
Key Advantages
♦ High Tensile Backbone: The helical steel wire armor absorbs massive gravitational and mechanical pulling forces during installation. This ensures internal conductors never stretch or snap, making it invaluable for high-drop vertical riser shafts and deep boreholes.
♦ Full-Scenario Defense: Provides a heavy-duty mechanical shield against sharp rocky backfills, land subsidence, and underground biological hazards like rodents and termites, significantly extending the cable's operational lifespan.
♦ Substation System Safety: The continuous galvanized steel wire grid functions as an exceptionally low-resistance grounding path for the entire electrical network, enhancing on-site safety during high-power continuous operations.
Application Guideline
♦ Choose SWA: Crucial for vertical mine shafts, high-rise risers, river crossings, or deep direct burial with high mechanical pulling stress.
♦ Alternatives: If heavy tensile strength is not required and you prefer a lighter, lower-cost option, please view our STA steel tape armoured series. For 1-Core armoured applications, please see our AWA aluminium wire armoured series.
